Nina Dockendorff
Pediatric Occupational Therapist
With over 10 years of experience as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, Nina takes an approach centred on play, connection and collaboration.
She uses play-based therapy to help children explore, learn and develop strategies that work for them in their everyday environments — whether at home, at school or in the community. Her goal is to support each child to participate confidently in daily activities in a way that feels right for them.
A key part of her role is also supporting parents, caregivers and educators. Nina provides practical guidance and education around:
Co-regulation and emotional support
The eight sensory processing systems
The model of child engagement
She takes a family-focused approach, recognising that every family is unique. Together, they create strategies and routines that are realistic, sustainable and tailored to each family’s needs.
In recent years, Nina has also incorporated:
The Interoceptive Awareness Curriculum
The Crawling Curriculum
These approaches support children to develop body awareness, regulation skills and strong foundations for learning and participation.
